Safety Equipment - Personal Protective Equipment

 

 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is defined as "all equipment (including clothing affording protection against the weather) which is intended to be worn or held by a person at work which protects them against one or more risks to their health and safety".

PPE would include such things as:

  • hard hats,
  • eye protection,
  • safety harnesses,
  • life jackets
  • and safety footwear.

 

Protective clothing
Protective clothing act as a permeation barrier to protect against chemical vapors, splashes, particulates,  dust and fibers.

Head Protection  - Hard hat  helmets
The  helmet protect the head from injury by falling objects, impact with other objects, debris, bad weather and electric shock.

 

Safety shoes. Made of tanned leather, hygrophobic resistance to hydrocarbons. Spacium composite toe cap, slide soles. Ergonomic and antibacterial. The top of the shoe is covered with a layer of polyurethane protective role against scratching, tearing, cutting.

Fall Protection

 It is strongly recommended that a full body harness with an adjustable lanyard ( used to provide work restraint and adjusted to be as short as possible) is used when working from a aerial woking platform.
